Proposal For Equipmentequipment
This page allows you to define and approve proposal details for equipment belonging to a location. Tell me more.
Select the “Approve Proposal for Equipment “ link at the bottom of the “Approve Proposal” page.
The “Proposal For Equipment” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Proposal No |
The number of the proposal to be approved. |
Location |
The location for which the proposal has been created. |
Status |
The status of the proposal, which can be “Fresh”. |
Type |
The work type for which the proposal was created. |
Category |
The work category for which the proposal was created. |
Financial Year |
The financial year for which the proposal was created. |
Proposal for Above Combination |
The proposal amount that has been defined for the “Proposal No – Location – Financial Year – Type – Category “ combination. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Proposal Details” multiline: |

Equipment |
The equipment for which the proposal details have been defined (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the equipment is already defined in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. |
Help activity available | |
Total Amt. |
The total amount that is required for carrying out maintenance work in the location (Decimal). Ensure that the total amount entered in this field is greater than or equal to the total of the amounts entered in the “Skill Amt”, “Parts Amt”, “Tools Amt”, “Other Res. Amt”, “Misc Amt” and “OutSourced Amt”. |
Note: Ensure that the total amount that is proposed for the equipment is not greater than the amount that is displayed in the “Proposal for Above Combination” field.
Skills Amt. |
The amount that is required for the expenditure on skills (Decimal). |
Parts Amt. |
The amount that is required for the expenditure on spare parts (Decimal). |
Tools Amt. |
The amount that is required for the expenditure on tools (Decimal). |
Other Res. Amt |
The amount that is required for the expenditure on other resources (Decimal). |
Misc. Amt. |
The amount that is required for miscellaneous expenditure (Decimal). |
Out Sourced Amt. |
The amount that is required for outsourcing resources (Decimal). |
The system displays the following field in the multiline: |

Buffer Amt. |
The difference between the total amount and the amount that is proposed for resources. This amount is utilized as the buffer amount. |
Note: The buffer amount is calculated by the following formula:
Buffer amount = Total proposed amount – Amount proposed for (Skills + Parts + Tools + Other resources + Miscellaneous + Outsourced amount)

Total Amt. For Equipment |
The total amount that is proposed to the equipment belonging to the type and category combination for the above location and financial year. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the proposal details for the equipment. |
Created Date |
The date and time at which the proposal details were created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the proposal details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the proposal details were last modified. |
Approving proposal for equipment – An overview
This page allows you to define and approve proposal details for equipment belonging to a location. You can use this page to define proposal details for new equipment. You can also edit the already existing proposal details for equipment. You can enter the total proposed amount as well as the amount that is required for the expenditure on skills, tools, other resources, spare parts and any other miscellaneous expenditure.
The system saves the proposal details of the equipment and stores the login ID of the user who defined the proposal details, and the date and time of defining the details.
