This page allows you to allocate cost among the various equipment that belong to a location. Tell me more.
Select the “Allocation For Equipment” link from the bottom of the page.
The “Allocation For Equipment” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

Plan No. |
The number of the approved plan for which allocation is done. |
|
Location |
The location to which the equipment belongs. |
|
Financial Year |
The financial year for which the allocation is done. |
Enter the following fields:

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work type for which allocation must be done. The system fills in all the types for which allocation is already done in the “Allocate Cost Plan” page. |

Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work category for which allocation must be done. The system fills in all the categories for which allocation is already done in the “Allocate Cost Plan” page. On changing the type in the “Type” field, the system fills in this field with all the categories for which allocation has been done for the specific type. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The system displays the following field:

Allocation For Above Combination |
The amount that is allocated for the location and for the specific work type and work category. |
Enter the following details in the “Allocation Details” multiline:

Eqp. |
The equipment belonging to the location for which allocation is to be made (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the equipment is already defined and attached to the location in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the equipment is unique to the multiline. |

Total Amt. |
The total amount that is to be allocated to the equipment (Decimal). Ensure that the amount entered is greater than or equal to the sum of the amount entered in the “Skills Amt”, “Parts Amt”, “Tools Amt”, “Other Res. Amt”, “Outsourced” and “Misc Amt” fields. Also ensure that the amount is less than or equal to the amount that is displayed in the “Allocation for Above Combination” field. |

Skills Amt. |
The amount that is allocated to the skills (Decimal). |
|
Parts Amt. |
The amount that is allocated to spare parts (Decimal). |
|
Tools Amt. |
The amount that is allocated to tools (Decimal). |
|
Other Res. Amt. |
The amount that is allocated to other resources (Decimal). |
|
Misc. Amt. |
The amount that is allocated towards miscellaneous expenditure (Decimal). |
|
Outsourced Amt. |
The amount that is allocated towards any outsourced expenditure. |
Note: Ensure that the amount allocated towards the various expenses is not negative.

The amount that is available for any additional expenditure. |
Note: The buffer amount is calculated by the following formula:
Buffer amount = Total allocated amount – Amount allocated for (Skills + Parts + Tools + Other resources + Miscellaneous + Outsourced amount)

Click the “Allocate” pushbutton to allocate the costs among the equipment belonging to the location.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who made the allocation. |

The date and time of allocation. |

Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the allocation. |

Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the allocation was last modified. |
Allocating cost among the equipment belonging to the location – An overview
This page allows you to allocate cost among the various equipment that belong to a location. You can allocate funds to a specific type and category of work that can be performed on equipment. You can also disburse the amount allocated to equipment among the various resources that are required to carry out maintenance in the equipment. The total amount allocated for all the equipment put together should be less than or equal to the sum of the amount allocated towards the expenses incurred on resources.
The system allocates the cost and stores the login ID of the user who made the allocation along with the date and time at which the allocation was made.
