Defining proposal for equipment

This page allows you to define the proposal details for the equipment belonging to a location. Tell me more.

Select the “Proposal For Equipment” link from the “Create Proposal” page or the “Edit Proposal For Equipment” link from the “Select Equipment” page.

The “Approve Proposal For Equipment” page appears.

The system displays the following fields:

Proposal No.	The proposal for which the proposed costs must be apportioned among the equipment belonging to the location.
Location	The location for which proposal is created.
Status	The status of the proposal, which can be “Fresh”.
Type	The work type for which the proposal is defined.
Category	The work category for which proposal is defined.
Financial Year	The year for which proposal is created.
Proposal for Above Combination	The proposal amount that has been defined for the “Proposal No – Location – Financial Year – Type – Category “ combination.

Enter the following fields in the “Proposal Details” multiline:

Eqp.	The equipment for which proposal is defined (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the equipment:
	is already defined in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status.
	is already mapped to the location in the same activity.
	is unique to the multiline.
	Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Equip Desc” field in the multiline.
	Help facility available
Total Amt.	The total amount that is required for carrying out maintenance work on the equipment (Decimal). Ensure that the total amount entered in this field is greater than or equal to the total of the amounts entered in the “Skill Amt”, “Parts Amt”, “Tools Amt”, “Other Res. Amt”, “Misc Amt” and “OutSourced Amt”.
Skills Amt.	The amount that is required for the expenditure on skills (Decimal).
Parts Amt.	The amount that is required for the expenditure on spare parts (Decimal).
Tools Amt.	The amount that is required for the expenditure on tools (Decimal).
Other Res. Amt.	The amount that is required for the expenditure on other resources (Decimal).
Misc. Amt	The amount that is required for miscellaneous expenditure (Decimal).
Outsourced Amt.	The amount that is required for outsourcing resources (Decimal).
The system displays the following field in the multiline:
Buffer Amt.	The difference between the total amount and the amount that is proposed for resources. This amount is utilized as the buffer amount.

Note: The buffer amount is calculated by the following formula:

Buffer amount = Total proposed amount – Amount proposed for (Skills + Parts + Tools + Other resources + Miscellaneous + Outsourced amount)

Eqp. Desc.	The description of the equipment.
The system displays the following field below the multiline:
Total Amt. For Eqp.	The total amount that is proposed for the equipment belonging to the “Location – Financial Year – Type – Category” combination

Note: Ensure that the amount that is proposed for the equipment is not greater than the total amount that is proposed for all the equipment for the type and category combination

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the rows for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the selected rows from the multiline.
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the details of the proposal for the equipment.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the proposal for the equipment.
Created Date	The date and time at which the user created the proposal.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the proposal.
Last Modified Date	The date and time at which the user last modified the proposal.

Defining proposal for equipment – An overview

This page allows you to define the proposal details for the equipment belonging to a location. The proposed amount that is already defined for a location can be disbursed among the equipment belonging to the location. You can divide the total proposed amount or the amount that is proposed for every type and category combination. The total of the amount that is specified for all the equipment put together should not exceed the proposed amount for the selected type and category combination for the current location.

You can specify the equipment along with the expenses that are expected to be incurred on the various resources that will be utilized for carrying out maintenance activities on the equipment.

The system stores the proposal details for the equipment along with the login ID of the user who defined the proposal details and the date and time of defining the proposal details
