This page allows you to select a proposal for viewing. Tell me more.
Select the “View Proposal” link under the “Budget” business component.
The “Select Proposal” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you are aware of the proposal to be viewed:

The proposal to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Select the “View Proposal” link provided alongside, to view the proposal.
To search for a proposal
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a proposal. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Proposal No. |
The proposal number to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the proposal in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all proposals which are similar to the proposal entered here. |
Financial Year |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve proposals that are created for a financial year. The system fills in all the financial years that have been defined in the “Create Calendar” activity under the “Accounting Setup” business component of Ramco Corporate Solutions and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, to retrieve proposals created for all the financial years. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Location |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve proposals that are created for a specific location. The system fills in all the locations that are already defined in the “Create Location” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, to retrieve proposals created for all locations. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to search for proposals based on the status. The system provides the options: “Fresh”, “Canceled”, “Approved” and “Superceded”. Leave the field blank to retrieve proposals irrespective of the status. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Type |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve proposals based on the work type for which it is created. The system fills in this field with all the types that have been defined in the “Define WO Types” activity of the “Work Order” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, to retrieve proposals irrespective of the type. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve proposals based on the work category for which it is created. The system fills in this field with all the categories that have been defined in the “Define WO Categories” activity of the “Work Order” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, to retrieve proposals irrespective of the category. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Planning Group |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve proposals that are created by a planning group. The system fills in this field with all the planning groups that are already defined in the “Create Planning Group” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component and are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, to retrieve proposals created by all planning groups. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Approved By |
The login ID of the user who approved the proposal (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the login ID in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all proposals created by users similar to the login ID of the user entered here. |
Enter the following fields in the “Proposal Date” field to retrieve proposals created during a specific period:
From |
The starting date from which you wish to retrieve the proposals (Date Format). |
To |
The date until which you wish to retrieve the proposals (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered in this field is later than the date entered in the “From” field. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Date |
The date on which the proposal was created. |
Location |
The location for which the proposal was created. |
Financial Year |
The financial year for which the proposal was created. |
Planning Group |
The planning group that created the proposal. |
Approved By |
The employee ID of the user who approved the proposal. |
Status |
The status of the proposal, which can be “Fresh”, “Canceled”, “Approved” or “Superceded”. |

Selecting proposal for viewing – An overview
You can select a proposal for viewing, in this page. If you know the proposal, enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the following fields:
the proposal number
the financial year and the location for which the proposal was created
the planning group that has defined the proposal
the status of the proposal
the work type and work category for which the proposal has been defined
the period during which the proposal was created
Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the proposals for viewing.
