EAM Service – An overview
Introduction
This business component focuses on the outsourcing of jobs to meet the skill and labor requirement for carrying out maintenance activities. This is referred to as “Service”, which is modeled as an “Item” of types “Service” in Ramco Corporate Solutions.
Business processes pertaining to service procurement is implemented through the Sub-contracting cycle of Ramco Corporate Solutions and this business component. The need to specify a service and/or to initiate the procurement process can arise in several situations. Accordingly, this component, acting as an interface, will facilitate the expression/estimation, scheduling of services as well as creation of Service Request by providing suitable interfaces to Preventive Maintenance, Task, Work Order, WO Planning and Scheduling and Maintenance Planning business components. Further, an interface between “Work Order Execution” business component and “Goods Receipt” business component of Ramco Corporate Solutions is provided to acknowledge the services provided to a Work Order.
