Using online help

This page allows you to search the Bill of Material (BOM) / Formula code for an item and transfer the same to the required field. The system displays the BOM /Formula details in the multiline as per search criteria. You can select the BOM/Formula from the multiline and click the “OK” pushbutton to transfer it to the required page.

The “Help On BOM / Formula” page appears.

Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of search to be carried. The combo is loaded with “BOM” and “Formula”. The system displays BOM by default on launch of the page.

BOM Code / Formula

The unique code identifying the bill of material /formula for the item (Alphanumeric, 18) You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BOM/Formula details whose BOM/Formula code is similar to the code entered here.

Desc.

The textual description pertaining to the bill of material code/formula. (Alphanumeric, 150) You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BOM /Formula details whose description is similar to the description entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the BOM/Formula. The combo is loaded with values “Active”, “Inactive”, “Deactivated” and “All”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page.

Effective From

The starting date, in the range of creation date of BOM/Formula, from which the BOM /Formula details must be retrieved (Date Format). Ensure this date is lesser than or equal to the system date. The system lists all the BOMs/Formula that are created later than this date. This date should be earlier than the “Effective To” date.

Effective To

The ending date, in the range of BOM /Formula creation date, till which the BOM/Formula details must be retrieved (Date Format). Ensure this date is lesser than or equal to the system date. The system lists all the BOMs /Formulas that are created till this date.

Version No.

Use the drop-down list box to select the version number of the BOM / Formula. The combo is loaded with numbers – 1, 2,3,4,5 and 6. The system displays blank by default on launch of the page.

Item Code

The unique code identifying the Item. (Alphanumeric, 32) You can enter the item code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BOMs /Formulas containing item code similar to the code entered here.

Variant Code

The variant of the Item (Alphanumeric, 8) You can enter the variant code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the BOMs /Formulas containing variant code similar to the code entered here.

Variant Desc.

The textual description of the variant. (Alphanumeric, 150).

Lead Time (Days)

The number of days required to manufacture the item (Integer).

IO Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of item type. The combo is with values “Input”, “Output” and “All”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page.

The system displays the following information in the “Search Results” multiline

BOM Code / Formula

The unique code identifying the bill of material /formula for the item.

BOM/Formula Desc.

The textual description of the BOM/Formula.

SCI Quantity

The quantity of the subcontracted item.

Status

The status of BOM/Formula.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the item.

Lead Time (Days)

The number of days required to manufacture the item.

Effective From

The effective from date of the BOM/Formula.

Effective To

The effective to date of the BOM/Formula.

Default BOM

Displays “Yes” if the details specified for the BOM will act as default specification for the BOM else displays “NO”. This field is displayed only when Type is selected as “BOM” in the header.

BOM Applicable In Other UOM

Displays “Yes” if the BOM is applicable in other unit of measurement else “NO”. This field is displayed only when Type is selected as “BOM” in the header.

Version No.

The version number of the BOM/Formula.

Item Code

The code identifying the item.

Variant Code

The variant code of the item.

Variant Desc.

The description of the variant.

Formula Class

The class of the formula. This field is displayed only when Type is selected as “Formula” in the header.

IO Type

Indicates whether it is Input item or  Output item

The system transfers the details to the required page.
