Select the “Activate/Inactivate Carrier” link at the bottom of the “Select Carrier” page.
The "Activate/Inactivate Carrier” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

Status |
The status of the carrier. |
The system displays the following details in the “Carrier Information” group box:

Supplier Code |
The code identifying a supplier, if the supplier is also being defined as a carrier. |

Carrier Code |
The code identifying the carrier. |
|
Carrier Registered At |
The organization unit at which the carrier is registered. |
|
Carrier Name |
The name of the carrier. |
|
Carrier Language |
The language for communication with the carrier. |
|
Carrier Currency |
The currency used by the carrier. |
The system displays the following details in the “Address Details” group box.

Address Id |
The code identifying the address of the carrier. |
|
Contact Person |
The name of the person who has to be contacted regarding the carrier. |

Address Line1 |
The first line of the address of the carrier. |
|
Address Line2 |
The second line of the address of the carrier, if any. |
|
Address Line3 |
The third line of the address of the carrier, if any. |

City |
The name of the city. |
|
State |
The name of the state. |
|
Country |
The name of the county. |
|
Zip Code |
The code identifying the area. |
|
Phone |
The phone number of the carrier. |
|

The e-mail id of the carrier, if any. |
|
URL |
The uniform resource locator pertaining to the e-mail id. |

Effective From |
The date on which the carrier is recognized by the system for transactions. |

Effective To |
The end date till which the carrier is valid for transaction. |
Enter the following detail in the “Reasons Details” group box:

Reason Code |
The code identifying the reason for which a carrier is activated or deactivated (Alphanumeric, 10) Mandatory. |

The system displays the following details in the “Delivery Area Supported” multiline:

Delivery Area Code |
The code identifying the area, where the goods are delivered. |

Delivery Area Description |
The description of the delivery area code. |
Check the “Select” column from the multiline.
Click the “Activate ” pushbutton to activate the delivery details of a particular carrier code corresponding to the selected column.
The status of the carrier code must be “Inactive” before you click this button. Status field is updated to “Active”.
Click the “Inactivate ” pushbutton to inactivate the delivery details of a particular carrier code corresponding to the selected column.
The status of the carrier code must be “Active” before you click this button. The reason code must not be null. Status field gets updated to “Inactive”.
Note: The "Last modified by" is populated with login id and the "last modified date" is populated with the system date
To proceed carryout the following:
Select the “View Carrier Additional Addresses” link at the bottom of the page to view the carrier additional addresses.
Select the “View Carrier Transportation Details” link at the bottom of the page to view the carrier transportation details.
The system displays the following fields:

The login user id of the person who has created the “Carrier” component. |

The date on which the “Carrier” component is created. |

Last Modified By |
The login user id of the person who has last modified the “Carrier” component. |

The date on which the last modification is done. |
Activate/Deactivate Carrier – An overview
|

You can activate or deactivate this carrier by clicking the push buttons “Activate Carrier” and “Deactivate Carrier” respectively. You must specify the reason code, which identifies the reason for the activation or deactivation of the carrier.
