This page allows you to search and select the carrier codes. Tell me more
Select the “Activate/Deactivate Carrier” link under the “Carrier” business component.
The “Select Carrier” page appears.
Enter the value of the "Carrier Code”:
Carrier Code |
The code identifying the carrier. It must not have space or special characters (Alphanumeric, 20). |
Select the “Activate/Deactivate Carrier” link at the bottom of the page to activate or deactivate the carrier.
Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Carrier Code |
The code identifying the carrier (Alphanumeric, 20). It must not have space or special characters. |
Carrier Name |
The name of the carrier corresponding to the carrier code (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the carrier. The options available are “Active”, “Inactive” and “Both”. The system displays “Both” as the default value on launch of the page. |
Effective From |
The date on which the carrier is recognized by the system for transactions (Date Format). |
Effective To |
The end date till which the carrier is valid for transaction (Date Format). Carrier is not recognized by the system for transactions beyond this date. This date must be greater than the effective from date. |
Address Id |
The address id of the carrier (Alphanumeric, 12). It must not contain any space or special characters. |
City |
The name of the city (Alphanumeric, 40). |
State |
The name of the state (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Zip Code |
The code identifying the area (Alphanumeric, 20). |
Transportation Mode |
The code identifying the shipping mode for transporting goods from a shipping point to a particular Delivery Area (Alphanumeric, 25). |
Delivery Area Code |
The code identifying the area, where the goods are delivered (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Click the “Search” push button.
The system displays the following details in the “Search Results” multiline.
Carrier Code |
The code identifying the carrier. |
Carrier Name |
The name of the carrier corresponding to the carrier code. |
City |
The name of the city. |
State |
The name of the state. |
Country |
The name of the country. |
Address Id |
The code pertaining to the address of the carrier. At least one entry must be present for this field in the multiline. It must not contain any space or special characters. |
Status |
The status of the carrier. |
Enter the following field:
Reason Code |
The code identifying the reason for which a carrier is activated or deactivated (Alphanumeric, 10) Mandatory. |

The system displays the following detail:

Check the “Select” column from the multiline.
Click the “ Activate” pushbutton to activate the carrier code corresponding to the selected column.
The status of the carrier code must be “Inactive” before you click this pushbutton. The status field gets updated to “Active”.
Click the “Inactivate” pushbutton to inactivate the carrier code corresponding to the selected column.
The status of the carrier code must be “Active” before you click this pushbutton. The reason code must not be null. The status field gets updated to “Inactive”.
Note: The "Last modified by" is populated with login id and the "last modified date" is populated with the system date.
To proceed carryout the following:
Select the “Activate/Deactivate Carrier” link at the bottom of the page to activate or deactivate the carrier.
These carrier codes can be deactivated from making further transactions or activated to continue with the transactions. You can directly specify the value of the carrier code you want to activate or deactivate. If you are not sure about the carrier code or if you want to activate or deactivate multiple carrier codes, you can carry out a search by specifying the carrier related details in the search criteria. The search result gets displayed in the multiline. You can select the carrier codes from the multiline and activate or deactivate it as per your need.
The original status of the carrier when created is “Active”. The status gets updated to “Inactive” when you deactivate the carrier. The carrier gets back to its original status once activated.
The link at the bottom of the page allows you to activate or deactivate a particular carrier.
The Reason Code must be defined in the “Create Category Type” activity of the “Category” business component.
